I and my family have lived in the Coulsdon area for over thirty years. Both my sons, now in their thirties, went to the school. I am a member of the congregation at St Johns and have served as a Churchwarden for six years. I was appointed as the Local Authority School Governor in September 2019. I am a Chartered Insurer and have just retired as an Insurance Underwriter in the City of London. I am keen to use my skills that I have learned in assimilating Information and managing several teams of people to the benefit of the school.  In my spare time I run, garden and look to spend time with the family and especially the Grandchildren.

I have lived in the surrounding Coulsdon area throughout much of my life. I am also a member of the congregation of St John's.  As a Parent Governor, I am keen to use my role on the Community and Faith Committee’s to continue to integrate both aspects into the School life.

By profession, I am a teacher and currently employed as Director of Learning at Reigate 6th Form College and am keen to bring my skills and experience to the role to help maintain the outstanding reputation already established at Coulsdon C of E.  I have two children at the school, in Yr. 3 and Yr. 1.

I am a chartered accountant and have worked in finance for the past 20+ years.

My wife and I have lived in Coulsdon since 2010 and three of our four children have attended the school to date. Both my wife and my wife's mother also attended the school, and therefore I hope in my role as a member of the governing body, that I can help support the school to continue to offer opportunities to children, and to carry on a long family association.

My family and I moved to Coulsdon a couple of years ago and we have been impressed by how much of a strong community exists here. From the School to St John's Church, the ethos of togetherness, faith, love and kindness range through to everyone I have had interactions with. Since having children, I have developed a passion for their education, development and well-being, building the leaders of tomorrow.
I am the Head of IT for one of the UK's leading E-commerce fashion brands, responsible for their IT Operations and Cyber Security. Managing a team of circa 80+ talented individuals. In terms of hobbies, I enjoy playing football, going to the gym in keep fit and spending time with my family.

I joined the Governing Body in June 2022 where I currently preside on the curriculum, admissions and personnel committees.

My passion and dedication to improve children’s education can be shown during my 39 years of teaching across 7 subjects.  For 17 years I was a history and RE examiner for the OCR.  Within my career, I have spent 26 of those years in senior management and 16 years serving as a headteacher.

My experience of volunteering with youth work and Sunday school over the last 35 years enables me to further support the Christian ethos of our school and support the vision of ‘ Together, Growing in Mind, Body and Spirit.’
