Visions and Values

Shaping Futures, Inspiring Curiosity

At Coulsdon Church of England Primary School, our vision is rooted in Christian faith and lived out through our school motto:
“Together – growing in mind, body and spirit.”

We are committed to helping every member of our school community flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Through high expectations, engaging learning and a nurturing environment, we aim to inspire curiosity, build confidence and support every child to reach their full potential.

Learning at Coulsdon C of E is underpinned by a strong sense of community. Staff, pupils and families work closely together to provide care, encouragement and support, fostering a lifelong love of learning and a deep sense of belonging.

As a Church of England school, our Christian values guide all that we do. We warmly welcome children and families of all faiths and none, celebrating diversity and promoting respect, inclusion and understanding so that everyone feels valued and able to thrive.

Our School Values

Our Christian values are at the heart of daily life at Coulsdon C of E. Children and adults are encouraged to live out these values in their actions, relationships and attitudes, helping them grow into caring, responsible members of society.

These values have been chosen by our school community and reflect what matters most to us:

Respect

Respect means treating others as you would like to be treated. It is about kindness, listening to others and valuing everyone for who they are.

Perseverance

Perseverance means not giving up when learning feels challenging. It is about trying your best, learning from mistakes and believing that effort leads to improvement.

Kindness

Kindness means being caring, helpful and thoughtful towards others. It is about making positive choices and looking for ways to support those around us.

Courage

Courage means being brave when things feel difficult or uncertain. It is about standing up for what is right, trying new things and facing challenges with confidence.

Community

Community means caring for one another and working together. It reflects our belief that we are stronger when we support each other and that everyone belongs at Coulsdon C of E.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness means choosing to move forward when mistakes are made. It is about understanding, repairing relationships and showing compassion to others.
