Year 2

Welcome to Year 2 at Coulsdon Church of England Primary School

Year 2 is an exciting and important year at Coulsdon C of E, where children build on their learning from Key Stage 1 and develop greater independence, confidence and resilience as learners. We encourage children to take pride in their work, enjoy challenge and continue to develop a love of learning.

At Coulsdon Church of England Primary School, Year 2 is packed with memorable experiences that bring learning to life and build confidence, creativity and curiosity.

Autumn Term

  • Movers and Shakers Dress-Up Day – Step back in time and become a famous historical figure for the day!

  • Narrators in the Nativity – Take centre stage and help tell the Christmas story in our special performance.

Spring Term

  • Hindu Mandir Visit – A fascinating visit that deepens our understanding of world faiths through real-life experience.

  • Performance at Fairfield Halls – An unforgettable opportunity to perform in a professional venue and shine on stage!

Summer Term

  • Hampton Court Palace Trip – Walk in the footsteps of kings and queens as history comes alive in this inspiring visit.

These enriching experiences help children develop confidence, teamwork and a love of learning — while creating memories that last well beyond Year 2.
